The Duplicate image command creates a new image which is an exact copy of the current one, with all of its layers, channels and paths. The GIMP Clipboard and the History are not affected.

9.2.1.  Activating the Command

  • You can access this command from the image menubar through ImageDuplicate,

  • or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+D.
