O comando fecha a imagem ativa. Ele fica desabilitado se não há nenhuma imagem aberta.
Closing an image is not undoable: once it is closed, everything is gone, including the undo history. If the image is not “clean” — that is, if you have changed it since the last time you saved it — you are asked to confirm that you really want to close it.

An image is only marked as clean when it is saved as an XCF file. Exporting to a different image format does not mark a changed image as clean, since it does not preserve all the information in the image. |
Você pode acessar este comando a partir do menu da janela de imagem através de → ,
ou usando o atalho de teclado Ctrl+W.
Para a maioria dos sistemas em que o GIMP é executado, você também pode executar este comando clicando no botão “Fechar” em algum lugar na barra de título da janela da imagem (em geral, a direita). A localização e a aparência deste botão são determinados pelo sistema de janelas e do gerenciador de janelas. Se nenhuma imagem está aberta, clicar neste botão fecha o GIMP.
